Binge [videorecording] / director, writer, performer, Lynn Hershman. [1987]

In this video diary, Hershman addresses the camera directly and discusses food, obsession, hunger, deprivation and self-image in the context of her efforts to control her weight over a period of several months. Her accounts of weight loss successes and failures are interspersed with musings about the social pressure to be thin. Subtle image manipulation adds visual expressiveness to her monologue.
